The SoftBank Vision Fund (SVF) portfolio is a massive bet on “The Singularity”—the moment AI surpasses human intelligence. Unlike a balanced portfolio, the Vision Fund is highly concentrated in “disruptors.”

    • Key Holdings (2026): The portfolio is anchored by Arm Holdings, which provides the architecture for almost all mobile and AI chips. Other significant bets include ByteDance (TikTok’s parent), and various autonomous driving and robotics companies.
    • The Strategy: SVF seeks to create a “cluster of number ones.” They want to own the dominant player in every tech-enabled category globally.

The Risk: Because these are “growth” companies, the portfolio is extremely sensitive to interest rates. When rates rise, the “future value” of these companies’ earnings collapses, leading to the massive “paper losses” SoftBank has reported in recent years.
